Broke Pulping Equipment

 

Broke pulpers, whether for wet or dry broke, are essential to preserve runnability of the paper machine. Kadant offers several application-specific solutions for wet and dry broke management.

 

For wet broke, disintegrators are used. For dry broke, KV™ repulpers and Hydrapulper™ pulping machines, both with horizontal turbines due to layout constraints, are optimal solutions.

 

Working Principle

Wet or dry broke falls into the repulper to be reslushed and sent to a specific broke treatment or to the stock preparation line.

 

Applications

  • From the couch pit to the reel.
  • Applies to any kind of paper machine and paper.
  • Wet strength products in order to achieve repulping before complete polymerisation of the chemical wet strength agents is achieved.
